My name is Anna Garcia and this is my blog. This is my conversation with all of you back home whom we miss so much and with those of you whom I may have lost touch with over the years but who have stumbled across my ramblings and delightfully reconnected.
To those of you reading this whom I don’t yet know, how very nice to meet you. I’m so glad we’re connected. Since we’re meeting for the very first time, allow me to tell you a little bit about myself.
I am a mother, a wife, a daughter and a sister, a friend, a professional, a coach, a mentor, a volunteer, an advocate and a seeker of fresh air and joy. I gratefully seek joy amidst the chaos in every day and I easily find it in nature, in movement, in solitude and in countless delightful moments with my family.
Our family has always called Canada home. Until now, that is. After years of dreaming, countless questions of “Should we do this? CAN we do this?” we took a giant leap of faith and uprooted our lives to relocate to Switzerland. This blog was born through that journey and my need to share and to make sense of the many ways that this experience is transforming us.
Some might call this a mid-life-crisis and they might not be that far off. But out of crisis has come the opportunity to see ourselves in a brand new light, to redefine ourselves and to push beyond the boundaries we had accepted as our own.
I now confidently describe myself as a writer. A story-teller. Someone passionate about communicating in all its forms. There are brand new windows through which I am now seeing the world and I can’t wait to tell you more about it.
